When You Think You’ve Found It!

When you think you’ve found it and you didn’t know you were even looking for it!

Do you know what I mean?

And I’m not sure I have, but I did find something out that has piqued my interest.  I’m not sure of anything about the issue, but I’m gonna do a little exploration and find out more.  It seems to a be a serious situation that isn’t really known……or maybe it is and I’ve just been living in ignorance all this time.

On my part I’m dumbfounded!  To think that this exists?  It’s like a little cottage industry that’s run amuck!



Have you ever, just stumbled across something in life and you’re curious but at the same time say, “nah.”  Me, I like to mind my own business.  I figure, you mind your business and I’ll mind mine.  We can all be happy!  And it really doesn’t mind who you are, I’m just like that.  I like me like that and sometimes I wish there would be more of ‘you’ that would be like that!  But, that’s not what I’m getting too.

Back to, have you ever stumbled across something that grabs your Attention and won’t let go and you sort of possibly feel that you may have found your purpose?



More than just noticing that the sidewalks are too narrow in your neighborhood.  Or maybe that has gotten your attention and you’ve brought it before the city council and now, viola!!  Your neighborhood has wide sidewalks. (For some reason I had in mind a community in Great Britain going through this……none that I actually know of though!)

When You Think You’ve Found It!

Some of us take things a little more serious than we should.  Then, there’s some of us that see something that direly needs our attention.

Well, I’m at that crossroad.  So, I’ve sort of a battle going on within me.  Should I or shouldn’t I!  While I’m a quiet individual, getting involved with something that is out of sort I tend to rock the boat.  I’ve tried helping out times in the past and have had to come up against egos and power trips which have inclined me over the years to just leave them to their pettiness.



Wrong perhaps, but I don’t like the dealings of such people.

Some, I’m curious if what I’m about to investigate is littered with the same sorry lot of people!  From what I’ve gathered in a passing conversation, the seriousness of the cause endangers an individual’s life.  And, me, I’m thinking just on that issue to mind my own business…..I sort of like my laid back uninvolved beach life.

Have you ever come to that junction in your life?  Did you make the courageous choice?  Did you do it knowing that it would upset your world order…..(even if your world didn’t have order.)?

I really don’t like much attention, especially the attention this may garner.  So, I’m sitting here……reading and thinking.  I’d much rather be playing music and working on 2 songs that are rolling between my ears.  But, my mind is occupied on this issue and my thought was very simple.  When you think you’ve found it!  Have I found it?  I’m really not sure, but I’m going to explore.

Too much of my attention is not where I’d want it at this moment.  Perhaps I should blame it on the ending portion of Richard Branson’s book!  It has my wheels turning.  I tell myself, “John, the dude lives in another world!”

When You Think You’ve Found It!

So, when I think I’ve found it…..what do I do?  My first thing is that I’m doing my due diligence regarding the matter…..from there I measure my talent to go further.  Sounds like a cop out, I know.  But, believe me, this is outside my realm of realization!!!  This is something that has caught me by surprise and I recognize nothing in my past that has prepared me to venture further.  But…….I’ve got to consider.  I’m really beginning to believe this is Richard’s fault.

The path, just from my little knowledge is littered with deception, danger, and disaster.  So, why?

I’ll sit on it…..maybe it’ll go away.  I’ll finish the book shortly and I’ll never read anything that Richard writes again.



But, my optimism tells me I can do some good.  And the opportunity is clearly available even though I don’t know quite enough yet.

Life is full of turns.

Maybe it’s my turn now.
