Barcelona on Film

La Sagrada Familia

Barcelona on Film

Barcelona was our first stop on our European trip. Because of that reason only, I didn’t shoot too much in film fearing that I would not have enough for the other three cities. And to be fair, all we did was eat in Barcelona (which was the only reason we came to Barcelona for); did not want to waste my film on food. Overall, I loved how the shots came out.

Around Barcelona

View of the back of Casa Batlló from our AirBnb and books along Passeig de Gràcia

Our AirBnb had the cutest view of the back of Casa Batlló; one of the many works of Antoni Gaudí. One of the most enjoyable moments I’ve had while staying here with Charles was hearing the music nightly from the rooftop of Casa Batllo. Coming home to our AirBnb and hearing the music was so relaxing! Note to self: make reservations at Magic Nights at Casa Batllo to enjoy the live music.

I loved seeing all of the books in Barcelona (and all the cities that we’ve been to on our trip). I’ve recently started picking up reading again and it was amazing seeing all the books despite not knowing how to read any of it!

Arc de Triomf and a little alley in the Gothic Quarter

On a Sunday afternoon, Charles and I took a stroll through some of the famous landmarks in Barcelona. One being the Arc de Triomf; what a spectacular structure! As with all of Barcelona, you probably won’t be able to get a shot without people in it. It was so hard to!

After visiting of the most beautiful cathedral I have ever been to (Barcelona Cathedral), Charles and I wandered through the little alleys in the Gothic Quarter. You can easily get lost here but we managed to find our way to La Boqueria, their famous market, from the Cathedral. This shot was taken near the market.

Park Güell

Views from Park Güell

Another work from Gaudí, Charles and I spent an afternoon up Park Güell. Since we took a bus from our AirBnb, be warned that there’s a little incline to Park Güell. When we went, some parts of the park was under construction which was a bummer. Some shots that I have brainstormed beforehand couldn’t come to fruition because of it but I’m pretty adaptable.

Views of the City

Always on the hunt for the best views

On our last full day in Barcelona, we spent the early hours on a hunt for this spectacular view! I loved how the sunrise illuminated Barcelona from above. Can you see the beautiful but unfinished La Sagrada Familia in the distance? It’s such a sight to see at golden hour!

La Sagrada Familia

Beautiful details from La Sagrada Familia

Our last stop in Barcelona for our sightseeing adventure was the famous La Sagrada Familia. Photos can not do it justice on how enormous it is! And the detail, look how amazing it is! La Sagrada Familia is still under construction and has been under construction for more than a century! If you plan on visiting La Sagrada Familia, make sure to make reservations online beforehand because tickets tend to sell out!

Hoping you guys enjoyed seeing Barcelona on film!
