It’s a brand new year, and another chance for me to swear I’m going to take more pictures and blog all the time but not follow through with it.

But you know, maybe this is the year I stick with it. Last year I feel like I learned how to let a lot of things go so I could have more time and energy to focus on what really interests me. And you know, being a “successful” blogger doesn’t interest me. I don’t care to take the time to make money at this. I don’t want to plan posts months in advance. I don’t want to stress out over get Pinterest-worthy pictures. I don’t want to work with brands or try to convince you this or that product is amazing. It’s just not me. And that’s why I haven’t been back to the old blog for a while, because it started to not really be me.

But maybe it can be me again. Maybe I’ll write more about our life and post more pictures. That’s how I started this whole thing in the first place, so I think it might be time to get back to it.

I figured I’d start again with another 365 photo challenge. Well, sort of 2 challenges. One is just any picture I capture that day that moves me (or, you know, that I can get at the last second when I forget to take one earlier). The second will be a picture of Wyatt. I really hope I can keep up with it because I’d love to have a photo of him every day this year. Thankfully he’s turning into quite the little ham, so getting him to pose for me is a lot easier these days.

How is he five? I swear I was just bringing him home from the hospital a month ago.

I had intended to get my winter gear on and stomp around in the snow to get a picture, but when I stepped outside and my face practically froze off, I decided the flag would have to do.

It has been so long since I’ve blogged I don’t even know if I have any readers left, but if you’re out there I’d love to hear from you! Do you have any goals for 2018? Let’s hear ’em.
