It’s April already. Work’s manic and I’m constantly playing catch up, mixed with the knowing of having to get everything done before I’m off for a week from next Friday.

Yep, I’m off to England for a week for Bridesmaid Dress shopping, lots of general wedding stuff and of course a 30th birthday. A good friend of mine, Sophie, is coming with me, along with her 4 year old son Sean. We’ve got days out in London planned, plus a bit of Theme Park extravagance on my birthday followed by a long desired Indian meal in good company.

Beforehand it’s going to be a busy week with work from Monday to Thursday, Florence + The Machine concert on Thursday evening and plane to catch on Friday morning. This means at the latest I need to get my suitcase done on Wednesday evening and I just know it’s going to be left until the last minute.

I’m currently waiting for G at mine so we can have some time together before I jet off for a week – he was off gigging it around Italy this weekend and should’ve been back by now, only he’s stuck still on a train that someone decided to jump out in front of. Kind of gets on my nerves seeing as it’s one of the few times he wouldn’t have arrived back late!

I’m going to get back to watching some House of Cards while I wait.
