Perfect for Company

Thursday is Thanksgiving as everybody already knows.  I was invited to a friends House for Thanksgiving, but my mom decided that she wanted to come spend it with me.  Since this is the first time that my mom will see my house here in Oklahoma, I have to make it perfect.

So now I am scrabbling around cleaning, buying things to make the house look better, and planning out what I will make for turkey day.  Making turkey day dinner isn't a big thing for me, I've done it loads of times since I'm the cook in our family.  The thought of doing in my own house for my mom, is a different story.

Since I graduated college and moved out to Oklahoma and have done nothing with my degree, my mom has been very critical of me.  My mom is a teacher so education is important to her, and making enough money to support myself is important to her also.  We were like most families in America today, living paycheck to paycheck, and just barely scrapping by sometimes.

I am hoping that with my coming out to finally see where I am, and how happy I am here that she may finally stop with all the criticism.  But, I seriously doubt that, if anything it will only get worse.  We shall see how it goes. **Cross your fingers**
