That Was Lucky...

After this whole year in University, I don't have a clue how I got away with that one..

As I have been told on many occasions, I happen to be quite the destructive person. Despite me being opposed to this opinion, I'm going to have to start coming to terms with the fact there is quite a strong element of truth to the point. You will be allowed to make your own decisions in the future when more posts on similar subjects arise.

BASICALLY!

My room at university has been subjected to unbelieveable amounts of abuse. This is down to having people over so often and the hype just seems to catch everybody. The carpet got damaged, the shower curtain, the walls and even the chair just to name a few things...

One particular night when friends came over, the hype caught one of my friends so nicely that they decided to punch my wardrobe, subsequently smashing the mirror inside. Oh Dear. No names will be mentioned but everyone who was there knows.

So I'm sitting down in my room thinking to myself....My room is fxcked. When the day came that they asked for our bank details in order to refund our room bond deposits, I didn't even bother to apply for it. However, it all changed when my Room bond audit came in and I found this was the total of my charge...

£5.00.

Though this picture was taken 5months earlier than the letter's arrival at my house, it's the the only way I can accurately depict my reaction at the reading of the letter! Notice the vacant expression...Yes, I was struck dumb.

What made it weirder is the charge I have to pay has nothing to do with my bedroom! Wow. The charges which are included are effectively a story for another time due to the trouble it got me into.

At first, I thought that I had to pay another £5 onto the deposit which I never applied for, which would be make the total cost £155 worth of damage I had caused. However, after reading the letter numerous times, I discovered I'm only having £5 deducted from my deposit, which I have only JUST applied for, nearly 2 months after finishing university. The fact that I only owed £5 even shocked my parents...testament to my destructive nature. Damn.

Yes, arguably not the most exhilarating stories on Earth, but for anyone who knows the important of money, and the euphoria at discovering you have not just all of a £150 deposit, it should serve as something you can identify with. Safe.
