A Month with Gywnnie Bee - Round 1

Hi everyone! Miss me? Well, I miss you too. Lately, I have been spending more time on Instagram than anything. I recently joined Gywnnie Bee for the month to see if it would be something I'm interested long term. - This is my honest review - no one asked me to try it out or give a review. I was just genuinely interested in what it was all about!

I came across GB because I have been looking for a dress for a wedding I'm going to at the end of the month. Something a little more fancier. Sadly with baby and still breastfeeding my weight isn't budging. I decided to rent a dress rather than buy something. I had looked at Rent the Runway, but with the wedding on the 29th, I couldn't chance not getting a last minute dress incase something didn't work out and I didn't want to pay for a longer rental. I had found a dress at Nordstrom that I loved, bought it, but it was way too big. I actually found it on GB and hoped that I could get the smaller size.

How does it work?

Basically, you take a look at all their option, add them to your Closet. Then, depending on your subscription, you'll get items shipped to your door. I opted for the 3 item option - it seemed to make the most sense. You can wear it as long as you want, send it back or you can even keep it if you love  it. The only downfall, is that you don't know what is coming from your closet based on inventory.

I thought I'd take a picture of each dress on the model, and then show what I got. Right now I'm wiggling between a 16 and 18 - and I was worried that some would be a hit or miss.

Option #1 - Summer Party Fit 'n Flare

Sadly, this dress did nothing for me. It's super cute too. I even attempted to "Jen" it up with a belt and cardigan. Overall, it was just too big and the sleeves were strange. I sent this one back

(oh, ignore the hair and no makeup)

Option #2 - Party Confetti Fit & Flare Dress

Now this one, I really liked! I ended up wearing for a bachelorette party on Saturday night. Loved the Fit & Flare. I paired it with black tights, black round toe BCBG Wedges and a black motorcycle leather jacket. This is a probably a little more of the edgy side of what I'd wear. I had a hard time finding shoes because 1) all I wear are flats now and 2) my feet did weird things post baby.

Of course, I didn't get a full shot of me all dolled up. This was pre makeup and tights.

Me with my BFFie - the bachelorette was her sister. We had such a fun time hopping all over downtown. I did learn I am way to old to be doing that all the time!

The nice thing is they give you a poly bag to ship back. Pop it in the mailbox, notify them on the website and they'll send another item out of your closet. So far, I'm on item #4 - it came today. I'll post pics soon. I notified them yesterday that I was sending this dress back, and I already have an item shipped! So far so good. I'm glad I picked November to try this - lots of events going on!
