Fix Your Skin

Tags: skin oily

Most of us begin life with normal Skin. Through the years, the environment, what we eat and drink, hormones, and other factors contribute to changes and challenges. There are three types of skin: dry, oily, and combination.

Dry
Dry skin has a fine texture with small pores. It often feels “tight’ and is prone to broken capillaries. Dry skin should be kept away from weather extremes, especially harsh winds.

Oily
With oily skin, the pores of the skin are large and visible. The oil is especially prominent on the nose, forehead, and chin. It is prone to blemishes and blackheads. Although it seems logical to get at these eruptions with aggressive products, this makes oily skin even worse.

Combination
This is actually two skin types on one face. Skin is usually oily in the T zone of the face (nose, forehead, and chin) while dry elsewhere. Don’t be overly aggressive with the oily area and neglect the dry spots. Use powdered milk to wash and exfoliate, use lemon toner only in the T zone, then concentrate moisturizing to the dry zones.
