Life is good.

I absolutely Love days when you wake up and think to yourself “life is good”. I love the feeling of opening your eyes and realizing that you’re starting your day with a smile on your face. Obviously that doesn’t happen every day, and for me it used to be a rare occasion … but I can honestly say that lately it happens more often than not … and I love it.

It’s crazy how life can turn itself around in a fairly short amount of time. I remember a few months ago being very unhappy. I didn’t feel fulfilled in my job or my living situation, was overwhelmed by my schedule, and was discontent with my social life. I look back at that time now, and it has become a distant memory.

My life now is amazing. I think for the first time in my life there is absolutely nothing that I am discontent or unhappy with. I have a renewed interested in my job, which I was desperately seeking. I also took on a second job at Sylvan that is incredibly fulfilling. I am busier than I’ve ever been, but everything I’ doing is helping me toward my ultimately goals … teaching, Sylvan, grad school, boot camp. I’m enjoying it all. I have an incredibly solid group of friends who I love dearly and who have added so much vibrancy to my life. I can’t imagine a world without them.

And most recently I entered into a relationship that I am extremely excited about. Cory has been a huge part of my life for the last two years and we are finally exploring what else might be there. I never expected this to happen; I’m not really sure he did either. But in the end, we’re both excited to explore the possibilities and that makes me very happy.

So all in all, life is good. I woke up this morning with a smile on my face, and I can’t wait to do it again tomorrow :)
