This week we are discovering the inside of a Hotel room! Remember that little trouble we ran into in the snow in Idaho our last week on the road? Well, our RV is now in the shop getting repaired. Does anyone else hate the whole chicken/egg game between insurances and body shops/garages? Someday we will get our rig back and we can go to the RV park and continue our Job Search in peace! Until then we are hotel residents.
Until then we are hotel residents and not the fancy kind either. No, were in the we-don’t-know-how-long-we-are-going-to-be-here-let’s-get-the-cheapest-we-can-find kind of hotel. But at least we have a fridge and microwave so we brought some of our own food and can survive with grocery store runs.
At least staying in the hotel allows Mr. Misadventures to continue to study for his certification. As for me, I’m working on the job search, the blog, and my ebook, something I committed to in my monthly blog goals post.
I bought an ebook on mastering affiliate marketing on Pinterest, it’s a nice follow-up to the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course from Michelle Schroeder-Gardner I bought last month. I’ve made some affiliate sales and would love to continue adding more of that type of income to my blog’s revenue stream.
Last weekend we were able to walk both Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, I was a feeling a little under the weather so bailed on walking. I told the hubby we would go on Tuesday. Sure enough, it started raining again. Very important Portland lesson learned: when it’s sunny outside, get the hell outside!
The job search is up and down, I’ve got some good prospects going in various stages of interview mode, but also there have been some really strange things. I’m not going to go into too much detail, something I’ve written about in the past, on multiple occasions, but let’s just say that in the last month I’ve had to do weird things, like taking a personality test!
But you know what? No matter how much rain life gives you, just think of the rainbows after! Or maybe, rainbow cake??!!
