I love the Summer Holidays but there’s no denying that this year, a teenager, a tween and a lot of rain have made things a little more difficult than usual!

Dear Sunshine,

It was lovely to see you today, I do hope you won’t leave it so long before you decide to visit us again.

Love Me, the Mum who’s kids are going crazy being stuck inside so much.

Dear Rain and Cloud,

You know that song, ‘Rain, Rain, go away….’?

Love Me, the Mum who just wants the kids to be able to go out to play every day.

Dear Bank Balance,

I know, I know!

Just be patient for another couple of weeks and we’ll get back on track!

Love Me, the Mum who’s spent more than she planned this Summer.

Dear Master Frugal,

If you could just get through one month without having to visit A&E that would be amazing!

Three visits in three months for the same hand just isn’t great, is it?

You should know by now – move your hands away from a door when it’s closing!  It isn’t rocket science and it was a skill I thought you’d mastered a good 10 years ago if I’m honest so I’m not sure what’s gone wrong lately.

Dear Wine,

I feel like it’s been too long since we’ve had the chance to be together.

Let’s get rid of everyone on Friday night and spend sometime together – just you, me and the Kindle.
