Storyline: Insu, a young Muslim girl, aspires to become a singer but faces restrictions from her
conservative father. She happens to cross paths with a musician, which unfolds into an exciting
journey.

From assisting Prahlad Kakkar in his ad campaigns, to working as assistant production manager for the
film “Taare Zameen Par”, Advait Chandan has covered a long journey since then. Aamir believing in his
potential has given him once in a lifetime opportunity to direct under his production house. His directorial
debut “Secret Superstar” stars Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim.
Some of the lesser known facts about Advat Chandan are –

• He was the third AD (Assistant Director) in Reema Kagti's film “Honeymoon Travels”, enlisting the
  secondary cast, taking care of the background act, helping the main actors with their lines and
  essentially doing all the odd jobs.
• He was AD to Dutch director Diederick Vanrooijen for a Dutch film based on Bollywood.
• He was the first AD to an Austrian ad filmmaker Marco Kalantari.
• He was one of the Casting directors, AD and post production supervisor for Aamir Khan
  productions “Dhobi Ghat”
• He has also been part of more than 20 commercials, assisting ad world giants such as Rakesh
  Omprakash Mehra, Sujit Sarkar and Rajesh Sathi
• He has also worked with Farhan Akhtar on a short film “Positive” on AIDS awareness

With Secret superstar nearly all the things seems to have placed rightly. An interesting
simple but engaging story, apt starcast, debutant intelligent director Advait Chandan who closly
worked with Aamir Khan in the past and most importantly film is backed by Aamir Khan as
producer and actor in a cameo role.

Story and screenplay is the most critical part of this film where young generation audience
would able to relate to the fact that its high time to follow your passison and dream then to
follow the conventional path and rat race eventually.

Extended weekend and release on Diwali would surely enhance the chances of box office
success. Although Golmaal 4 is releasing on Friday , the day after Diwali and will surely give
Secret superstar a tough competition at box office. However I think “Secret superstar” will
surely find its own audience where Families and younger female generation specialy would not
like to miss it.

Going by My Gut Feeling (MGF), I am giving this movie 3.5 starts
out of 5 stars three days before the release. 3 stars for story line
and Advait Chandan’s direction and additional point five stars for
Aamir Khan’s backing to this film  as a producer and actor.
