I am still holding this laminated type driving License and it  expiring soon . Since they upgrade to a more secured type I had to make a call to the post office first whether it is possible for a foreigner to renew license there. I called two branches and they all told me that foreigner have to go to JPJ to renew because they don't have the machine and they  can only renew for local malaysians holding IC.

I went to JPJ PJ, thanks God queue was not that long I was attended to immediately. I was using my old passport number in my license and i want to use the new one.So I was asked for  my old passport and my new passport and asked me to provide them copies for both. They updated my particulars in their system and I paid for RM152+ for 5 years validity. After payment done have to go to the other door to submit the photo for scanning  then i waited for about less than 5 minutes and my license is ready.

So for foreigners wish to renew license just need to go JPJ anywhere. Bring with  you your old passport and new passport if you want to update your particulars and photocopies for both.
