Ramadan

As we approach the last hours of Ramadan...
Ramadan is a beautiful month where Muslims from all over the world no matter who they are or where they're from come together on this special occasion to share a blessed month of fasting and worshiping God, as well as doing good and giving to charity. What I love and look forward to about Ramadan is the sense of peace and fulfilment, there is no hatred, there is no anger, but there is love and unity.
This year Ramadan had taken a much bigger turn, with all the events happening around the world you wouldn't think there was much peace coming from this month. But social media is the main corporate, with hatred and anger being spread. It never truly shows the kindness that is shared between Muslims & nonmuslims. For example the breaking of the fast in Syria where many people gathered together for Iftar. These people are truly inspirational, people that have suffered so much over the past years still manage to fast and pray to their Lord and hope one day all fighting and wars would be stopped.
Although this year it felt less like the spirit of Ramadan was with us, the main reason why we fast is solely for God, one month where we devote our lives to Him, one month were we do kindness and give in charity, one month where we think of others rather than ourselves, one month where we feel as others less fortunate than us feel. I never forget that no matter when things in my life are not going as planned, I still thank God for the life I was given and the things I have that other people don't...never forget.
It's a beautiful month Ramadan...
Much Love,
