Beauty Review: Sleek Highlighting Palette Cleopatra’s Kiss

The Sleek makeup line has always been one of my favourite drugstore beauty products. Being someone of darker skin colour, it's often very hard to find cheap and reliable makeup with great quality. I've never really ventured past the lipsticks in contour kits when it comes to Sleek but about a week ago I brought their Highlighting Palette Cleopatra’s Kiss and I thought I'd share my opinions about this product because it has been a real game changer for drugstore highlighters.

When it comes to highlighting my main focus is on three main areas, my: cheekbone, nose and cupids bow. As someone who would consider themselves a beginner in the world of makeup, the Sleek palette suggests where each different shade should be used. This guideline is great, but I wouldn’t suggest you follow it to a tea because it would mean that you end up with quite a lot of highlight on your face. (Unless, of course, you’re into that kind of thing.)

I haven’t personally come across any drugstore highlighter that offers two different textures (cream and powder) of highlighters in the same kit, which is defiantly a win on behalf of Sleek. However, when it comes to the Brush (the one you see in the picture) I want to scream. Now when it comes to drugstore makeup brushes I have never really expected much and that goes for Sleek, but this brush actually goes below and beyond the expected quality level. So investing in a foundation or fan brush is your best option. DON'T rely on this brush. If you are a huge fan of cream highlighters you can’t go wrong with just using your fingers.

My favourite... definitely Goddess. x
