Of course, every mattress has a few downsides. It may be hard to find the Sealy Radiance size you’re after, some retailers only have them available in Queen, an aspect we found very unfortunate as this immediately limits the audience for what is ultimately a mattress worthy of consideration.
On a more practical level, we also feel that the overall hardness of this mattress might lean more toward the firm side rather than to a plush feeling. While this is good news for those who like to sleep on a firm mattress, lovers of all things soft are left disappointed.

While this mattress doesn’t hit the top of the pricing scale and is quite the deal for obtaining a better night’s sleep, it can still be off-putting for someone looking for a real steal.
Overall Verdict
The Sealy Posturepedic Optimum Radiance is a mattress that came with a goal in mind and has certainly managed to fulfill it.
Thanks to the infusion of cooling gel in every part of this mattress, you’ll find that even the most tropical nights can’t raise a sweat.
The added scent reduces the factory odor and makes for a more pleasant time while you wait the necessary two days to let your mattress properly expand.
The memory foam layer performs as expected, providing support to any aching limbs and reducing motion transfer at the same time.
While it’s a great mattress, the Sealy Radiance does come with a caveat. Since size availability might be limited, you don’t have much leeway when you happen to own a different sized bed frame.
There is also only one firmness level, meaning that if you don’t like a mattress that’s harder than plush, you are out of luck.
