So my business trip should be considered an overall success. A few minor-minor snafu's, but overall, it went well.

Sure it's long hours, and long flights, but it's always nice to get out of the office and see other parts of the country, take in the local food, fare, and drink....and I always learn something new.

Liek I stated earlier, I don't care for cold weather, but I grew up in Southern California, so I really don't know any better. I do know the prperty and homes are cheap...and you actually get land. Yards are expansive, and the views are incredible. I'd like to see the area in either fall or spring when teh leaves are turning color, or getting green again.

With all that said, we (the team, that is), came home to some nice 'atta-boys'. Hey it's our job, and that is what I am thankful for.....having a job in today's market. But I have to laugh. Yesterday in our weekly meeting, the manager in charge decided as a celebration of everything going well, he'd take us to lunch this Friday at a local mexican joint. The nice thing I guess is that he didn't really have to do this at all, and I'm not going to turn it down. However, the more I think about it, the more I laugh.....

Here we work for this large company that does fairly well, and for a job well done tha required months of planning, long hours, long flights, endless meetings, etc....our 'bonus' if you will, is the lunch-time special for $8.95. Personally I'd rather have decent monetary compensation or nothing at all.

"Thank you for all your hard work, countless hours and planning....Here's an enchilada."

Bah
