Happy Weekend!
I haven’t found time to blog these last few days. I’ve been busy filling out paperwork and contacting my Indian Reservation. Talking to the Chief himself who is SO nice and my birth mom is his “auntie”. I guess that makes us relatives.
So I did something and I’m not gonna say it was stupid, but after I did it I felt bad. I followed “Peta” on twitter. They post SUCH sad things, but they are true things. I followed them because I Love animals. The most recent thing they tweeted was a video of how cows are “de-horned” and you can clearly see that these cows find the process SO painful.
At the end of the video (which I watched entirely) it said “You want to help?” and I nodded eagerly at my screen and then the words “Go Vegan” splashed across. Could I do that? I’m SORRY animals but I don’t know if I could go without bacon, steak and seafood!!!
I tried to talk to the hubster about this and he was like “I don’t even wanna know”. Kinda how I feel. I’ve been trying to cut back on Meat, but I’m finding it SO hard. I’d rather have a cow for a pet then give up meat. At least I’d be saving one cow right?
Why do I feel so guilty about this? Surely I’m not a bad person for being a meat consumer? AM I???? I don’t know it’s been plaguing me ever since I saw that video. Poor cows!!!
I love salads and I love veggie dishes. But Sushi and Steak are also favorites. Lions kill Zebras and no one protests them or shows them videos to make them feel guilty!!! I don’t know how to proceed with this but I’m not going to “unfollow” Peta because of this. I’ll keep considering this.
I have a job interview Monday. I have nothing to wear! I mean I do but the outfit I wore for my last interview is Like 4 sizes too big, cuz I’ve lost a bunch of weight. I don’t have the money to buy a new outfit tho!! I’ll just have to look like a well dressed gangsta!
Today is Chili day! I’m SO happy. I love when we have homemade chili, my husband’s is the BEST. I know that cuz I hate chili but I love his!!
We need to stop at the store because I want some Fritos, cuz I have to have those or it would be WAY too hot. Also need to get some candy for the trick or treaters. I need to get the Ring dvd burned to my phone too so I can watch it on the steps and not break my little tradition.
The pic above is Salsa and Chips. I didn’t have a pic of anything vegan so that will have to suffice. How sad is it I’ve been in Atlanta a year now and I still can’t find a decent place to get salsa? Store bought until I find what works I guess. Have a good day!
