Yep, you heard it on the news, now see the results for yourself.
Our picnic table under what would eventually be 29" of pure white snow:
Pretty pretty snow on shed and coop
How do you like our pretty new roof now? Speechless?
Woodshed under a cloud:
The machine that bailed me out
It took a couple days to get completely dug out. Life was a bit buggered up for the whole region and still is in many areas. Sensible and Oddkin were both stuck at work for 27 hours (different work places) because they work jobs that can't be put off (Vet Tech and Elder special needs house) and they were the only ones who had vehicles and skills to get to work the first morning of the snowmageddon. I think they each earned some huge points with the bosses all things considered.
This set the record for most snow in 24 hrs and also put us over the edge for a record amount of snow for the season. And there's more snow (but not lots) still in the extended forecast. Heck, there was so much snow that two ski slopes closed down because it was more than they felt the average Joe could safely ski! Farther upstate folks got as much as 41 inches ..... so we feel almost lucky.
