I know someone that has a mid 60s Conn baritone where the Valve caps come loose within a few minuets of playing the horn. They tried different valve covers and that does not solve the problem so I assume the threads on the casing are badly worn. Will a good repair shop be able to spread out the Casings or add material to the casings to resolve, and is it worth the expense?
