Lavender Blush – “My Pal K”

Lavender Blush are a noise-pop act from San Francisco, who embrace “home recording, atmospherics, and analog warmth,” within a sound steeped in shoegaze and post-punk elements. My Bloody Valentine’s influence is evident in the warming, gauzy guitar tones — making it apt that the music video for their track “My Pal K” is a visual ode to MBV frontman Kevin Shields. That track’s blissful and enveloping sound, with shimmering guitars and nonchalant vocals, is a great indication of what to expect on their upcoming record Part Time Punks Session, releasing on 10″ vinyl on November 1st, and digitally on November 14th. Pre-order the album on Bandcamp.

“My Pal K” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2018’ Spotify playlist.
