I’ve had many lovely gig experiences in Ottawa, but I think this one might be my favourite so far. I can honestly say this was the first time an audience engaged me in philosophical discussions about morals and ethics while I’ve been on stage. It was both hilarious and heartwarming and I think maybe my soul needed some deep, meaningful conversation that night.

Big thanks to Daniel Groleau Landry for opening with his poetic and multi-lingual tunes, Maxim Banjo Cossette for bringing the house down with laughter and unexpected ‘adult subject matter’ action songs, DeeDee Butters for capturing and submitting all the photos you see here (and for giving me a place to crash while I was in town), Alex & Co. at Avant-Garde Bar, and (of course) all of you who came to join in on the fun. It was a night I won’t soon forget.
