Andhadhun Meaning | अंधाधुन

Andhadhun (Devanagari:अंधाधुन) is the name of a 2018 Film directed by Sriram Raghavan, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte, and Tabu. The film, it seems from the posters, is about a Blind piano player. Now in Hindi, andha (अंधा) is for blind, and dhun (धुन) is for a tune.

However, the strange union of words seems to be inspired by a different word, that is 'andhaadhundh' (अंधाधुंध). Andhaadhundh or andhadhundh is an adjective, meaning excessive, unbridled, violent, rash (something like, in blind rage, though dhundh is haze, and not rage) and isn't really related to blindness or music, and it may or may not be related to the movie.

By the way, a fun fact. Sriram Raghavan's 2012 film Agent Vinod's song Raabta also shows a girl who is blind and plays a piano as a shootout takes place around her.
