Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (魔法科高校の劣等生) anime movie premiered in theaters in Japan on June 17, 2017. The anime movie was ranked 5th in the first week on Box Office Japan. It grossed over 163 million yen, with a total of 59 theaters, representing over 2,762,362 yen per theater. Ticket sales up to 107,000 cards.

Mahouka koukou no Rettousei the movie: Hoshi o Yobu Shoujo is a new event which was written by MR. Satou Tsutomu, Mahouka light novel author. It was during the main characters are second year high school students. They met a young girl with great magic power, which led to a new fierce struggle.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei movie reminds me of Darker than black anime series. They are very good anime.
