Live coded algorithmic electronica (algorave) in St. Paul this Friday

Mike Hodnick (aka Kindohm), whom we profiled in May (Decoding Algoraves: Live Coded Audio coming to Minneapolis), is set to perform at Bedlam Lowertown in downtown Saint Paul this Friday at 7 p.m.

Since our interview, Mike has been working hard to hone his craft and identify some choice venues to be among the first to host the emerging genre’s introduction to the metro.

I’m super psyched that this type of music is making its way to the Twin Cities and hope there is some good support from the experimental and software development community for these first few gigs. And Bedlam is a great space – literally at the front door of the Lowertown green line light rail stop.

Plus, if you’ve been wanting to learn more about Live Coded audio, Tidal development language or how you can get involved in the scene, Mike will be on hand in between sets to answer questions, give advice and trade technique tips.

Here’s a flavor of what live Coded Audio is like…

See you there!
