Caramulo Motorfestival is a magic place. Every year, in the last days of the ending summer, around thirty thousand people escape the famous portuguese beaches on a pilgrimage to the high hills, to pay homage to the most beautiful classic car festival in Portugal. Between those people, mythic figures like Valentino Balboni, Cyril Neveu and national icons such former F1 and WEC racing driver Pedro Lamy, gentleman driver André Villas-Boas and many others. Between the lines of the historic “Rampa do Caramulo” hillclimb course, hundreds of cars brought by racing teams and visitors made the day for the vibrant crowds of enthusiasts. Amongst them, the unbelievable 50’s Ferrari hattrick composed by a 1951 125 Inter Vignale owned by Museu do Caramulo, André Villas-Boas’ 1955 500 Mondial and the return of the first ever registered portuguese Ferrari: The 1950 166MM Barchetta Touring now owned and driven by the south-african Van Zyl family.
