“Tribute to Japan” Honda CB450 by Fred Krugger

Fred Krugger is one of those custom motorcycle builders who always love to break tradition and experiment with a new idea for his next build. If you aren’t sure where you might have heard his name before, then this post from BikeEXIF might jog your memory about him, from a time when then Belgian bike-builder made the mad BMW K1600 for BMW Motorrad. It that’s not enough, how about a supercharged Yamaha SR400 from recent memory? Fred is one of the best custom bike builders in Belgium, and one of his builds from a few years back, a 1970 Honda CB450 that he calls “Tribute to Japan” is going on sale at the upcoming RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba sale on May 27, 2017.

“Tribute to Japan” Honda CB450 was build by Krugger for the Honda stand at the 2013 Brussels Auto show. The custom build features a one-of-a-kind reverse cylinder head that reported took Krugger 30-hours plus to get working. Every body panel on the build is hand made by Krugger, including the seat, tail section, front fairing, tank and even the unique wheels.
