“ONE” BMW R NineT Scrambler by JvB-moto

Building your own custom bike and being a custom bike builder making several custom builds over time are quite the different things. There has to be a certain consistency to what you do and to the end results what you bring. There are many, many custom builders out there today, but there are very few who have the consistency of  Jens vom Brauck or JvB-moto. JvB has unveiled yet another stunner of a build at this year’s The Reunion, held at Monza, Italy and it’s called “ONE”.

JvB-moto has done some amazing work in the past where he has partnered with motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha to built the “Super 7” XSR700 and the “Infrared” Vmax. For the “ONE”, JvB-moto has partnered with BMW Motorrad Europe to create a custom Scrambler based on the BMW R Ninet, that the company would use for their roadshows and promotions. I am sure the “ONE” is going to get them some serious attention wherever they park it.

When you look at a stock BMW R NineT and then turn back to look at JvB-moto’s R Ninet Scrambler, it’s pretty evident that the builder has gone for minimalism on his version. While his aim is and always has been to create something unique, the R NineT scrambler “ONE” gets a completely new tank that is not only shorter than the stock unit, but also narrower, making the whole bike feel lighter and more agile.

The “ONE” is painted in BMW racing colours that give the build a splash of energy over its industrial design. At the front there is a signature JvB-moto headlight unit above a bobber-style mudguard. At the rear, the tail is reduced to a thin sheet which gives more emphasis on the rear tyre.

“ONE” BMW R NineT Scrambler will be on display at the upcoming The Bike Shed, London on May 27 & 28, 2017, followed by BMW Motorrad Days, Pure and Crafted and Glemseck 2017.
