Not so long ago we wrote about the German Schenk family who builds awesome custom bikes, with a special focus on BMW and Triumph (check out the article here). Well, they were at it again! Once more they have managed to surprise us with an impressive rebuild of a Triumph Thruxton. It is a ‘broad-shouldered’ massive and mean looking bike.

The owner had about a € 15K budget to turn his lovely retro bike into this real badass Triumph. When Classicbike-Raisch get to work they leave no stone unturned.

The most eye-catching feature of this build is the rear. An interesting view on design. Not entirely our cup of tea but definitely original. In producing this part of the bike they called in help from outside. It was their good friend Marvin from KRT Frameworks who is responsible for all the changes that were made to the frame.

The leather seat is an excellent job. Too bad they did not use the same leather on the grips of the handlebars. That would have added a bit of ‘Feng Shui’ to the design. But that’s easy to correct. We absolutely love the front of this Truxton! The Öhlins fork, the double discs and the fat 130x80x17 front tire look amazing and well balanced with the rear 160x70xB17 one.

The Triumph was given the full treatment to achieve the look it has now; new front and back suspension, Motogadget speedo which makes the instrument panel nice and clean, new exhausts, front- and backlights, indicators, replacing the ignition, low stubs you name it and it was done. As per their own strict rules, everything mounted or replaced is according to the heavy TÜV standards as usual. The raw look of the paintwork is excellent too. Fits well with the design and the ‘Le Mans’ cap tops the tank off.

With all the new features, especially the ones made to the rolling chassis, Raisch claims the Triumph “it not just good in the style department, but it rides really fast and is incredibly steady when the rider is challenged with some interesting curves”.

The Schenk family wanted to build a bike that satisfies their senses and makes their client happy. According to the wrenchers the guys has major problems with his facial muscles, as he can’t stop grinning while riding his monster.

We absolutely believe them and will plan a ‘Shed Visit’ one of these days to test their builds on the road.
