Unless you have been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard the name Roland Sands. Roland Sands of RSD has been producing some of the sickest custom motorcycles around. His latest endeavors with Indian Motorcycles has yielded some amazing machines based off the Scout platform. Will this 2016 RSD X Indian Scout is one of those amazing machines.
This machine is so beautiful that words can not do it justice. The bike has basically been completely built from the ground. Starting in the front, I full custom chromoly girder front end with adjustable Ohlins TTX shock was designed. Perfect combination of vintage styling with modern technology. In the rear a matching TTX shock was used with a custom swing-arm and shock mounts.
The exhaust has been fabricated using RSD’s signature mufflers. All the electronics for the bike were re-wired and housed in a faux oil tank to help create a super clean and simple look. It might look simple to the naked eye, but don’t let it fool you. This is a highly modern and well designed machine with nothing but the top components. RSD definitely hit the mark on this one with modern technology while still paying homage to the original scouts from the 1920’s.
