We seem to be on a BMW R Nine T kick lately and how could we not. With all these awesome custom R Nine T builds going viral, they just keep grabbing our attention. Well Shiro Nakajima of 46Works is back at it under his new shop called 46Works. You have probably seen his previous BMW and Guzzi builds which are just as stunning. This 46works BMW R Nine T Clubman Racer build was part of a secret Japan BMW R Nine T buildoff as featured by our friends over at Bikeexif.
Everything about this bike screams performance. His first challenge was reducing the weight significantly. Scrapping most of the OEM parts and bodywork was a start. The bodywork is all handmade and fabricated from lightweight aluminum. The lines of tail section are classic racer styling finished off with a custom suede seat.
Continuing with the performance upgrades, Shiro ditched the stock forks and went with a set of Ohlins forks. Further more, the wheels were upgraded with a set of super light MotoGP Bito Magtans which drastically reduce the rotation mass as well. Going even further, he hand fabricated a one off titanium exhaust system which also matches the cool titanium intake to help this beast breathe.
Finally upfront for the controls, a Motogadget Motoscope Pro speedo was used. The master cylinders were upgraded with some Brembo RCS goodies and a Bates style headlight to help ou see the road ahead.
