Stunning UMC-38 Ducati Hyper Scrambler by Untitled Motorcycles

Over the past decade or so, we have seen many builders who have left their 9-5 design jobs create stunning motorcycles.  Hugo Eccles of Untitled Motorcycles in San Francisco did just that.  With over 20 years of industrial design and product development experience, Hugo took a gamble on building custom motorcycles.  Well that gamble has paid off for Hugo.  His build the UMC-38 Ducati Hyper Scrambler is evidence of his design and engineering background.

The Untitled Motorcycles UMC-38 Ducati Hyper Scrambler is one of the sleekest bikes we have seen.  Hugo in designing this bike, want to keep the trellis frame which is iconic to all Ducati bikes.  The only part of the frame that was completely modified was the sub-frame.  The seat and sub-frame were designed to flow perfectly with the tank.  The tanks design which was dictated by the lines of the frame, is sleek and simple.  The result is a design that flows perfectly from the neck to the tail.

The more and more you look at this bike, the more unique design attributes you can find.  This bike has been stripped down and just the bare essentials left.  Up at the controls are some of the coolest little trick bits.  The levers are custom CNC machined and designed to hold the LED turn signals.  The speedo, Hugo went with the Motogadget Motoscope Mini gauge mounted to a modified triple.  The throttle is a machined aluminum housing with a clear cover to show you the mechanism.  The headlight is a 4×4 LED unit turned vertical and housed a custom mini fairing.  All these little custom bits accent each other perfectly for a truly unique look.

The engine has been kept mostly stock internally and a few custom items on the outside.  Most notably is the clear poly-carbonate clutch cover.  The timing belt covers removed, to show off the cog and belt mechanisms.  One of the coolest pieces I think is the modified QD Ex-Box exhaust system.  Huge designed a belly-pan and modified the QD exhaust to flow perfectly together.  This exhaust setup is one of my favorite parts of the whole bike.

The Untitled motorcycles UMC-38 Ducati Hyper Scrambler is in my top 10 list of custom Ducati bikes.  Its sleek designs combined with 1 off unique parts create the ultimate Ducati Scrambler.  Be sure to go check out Huge Eccles of Untitled Motorcycles and all their custom bikes.  We can wait to see what the next custom out of this shop will be.
