I am so excited about this post for 2 reasons. Firstly, because it is the first post of my new column called “Lifestyle”, a column about Cyprus discovering local designers and creative brands, and the best spots allover Cyprus for food, drinks or just chilling. Secondly, I am launching this column with my friend Simoni, a very talented designer and a unique stylish blogger. I am sure you remember this name from an old post called “Belt Bag Trend“. Let’s meet her!!!

FASHIONABLE ROSE

After her graduation at Textile Design, from Middlesex University, she created her brand called “Simoni Textile Designs”, where she creates hand-woven fashion and home Accessories. I am sure you will love her creations!!! In 2011, she started her own blog called “Fashionable Rose“, to promote mostly her brand by styling her accessories in outfits she was creating. This got bigger, followers were expanding and she started to collaborating with brands and designers. Everyday she shares with her 7K followers, her retro, vintage inspired outfits with modern twists, beauty tips, cooking skills, inspirations and of course her Textiles creations. When you get to meet her, you will be surprised of how kind and down to earth she is. She is my gallery buddy ;). A unique and interesting blogger to follow!!!

SIMONI TEXTILE DESIGNS Brand

“Simoni Textile Designs” was created from the absence of unique fashion and home accessories in the market. During her studies, she explored hand and machine knitting techniques, weaving, and embellishment of textiles. Simoni produces hand-woven accessories such as bags, purses, scarves, capes, earrings and brooches, using the finest yarns. The hand-woven fabrics are made from different kinds of yarns, such as cotton, wool, linen, glittery yarns and also a combination other materials, such as ribbons, raffia and beads. Each season, she creates a new collection by choosing a different color palette and weaving techniques every time. Even though, she is experimenting with different colors, the pastel colors are often conquering her collections.

The woven hand-bags, in different shapes and sizes, are suitable to have at your everyday activities but also for more formal situations. Simoni’s luxurious scarves are made with high quality yarns in beautiful colors and textures. You can style the above with smaller accessories, that Simoni creates, such as cute woven button earrings, rings and brooches. Wall hangings, coasters, cushions and lavender bags, are a few of the home accessories that are part of her collections. Decor pieces that will give a colorful and stylish touch to your home, office or garden. Each piece is unique and a one off. She likes the idea that only one person owns a particular design, because she respect her customers and wants them to feel as special as the pieces she creates.

SIMONI TEXTILE DESIGNS Shop

After seven years of running her brand, she decided to create its own place where people can visit and see all accessories close by. Simoni prepared a very nice, minimal and cozy shop, to offer the best experience a visitor could have. She will offer you a cup of tea or coffee and homemade cookies and cakes, that she makes, and you will talk about fashion and style for hours. The shop is located at Nicosia, Ayias Elenis 11, 1061, next to NIKE store. Unique gift ideas for your special ones but also accessories to treat yourself, are available at the shop. At the moment, the shop is open and you can visit it, but the official opening will be on the 9th of December from 11:00-20:00, a full day to meet Simoni, explore the store and mingle with all the fashionable people that will be there. Moreover, you will see her new collection for Winter 2017-2018. Just look at the invitation, isn’t the most beautiful invitation you have seen?
