With the over-saturation of Television in the world, there is a constant cry for help when it comes to deciding what to watch. With satellite TV and digital cable, people have hundreds and hundreds of channels to choose from. Clearly, there has been a tremendous increase in specialized television to accomodate this choice. New , primarily reality-based, shows cater to the car enthusiast, the interior designer, the fashion buff, the gourmet, and the extreme sportman/sportswoman. Obviously, these specialized shows are designed for small niche audiences. Here at Perpetual pop, we aren't about grading people's interests, so we could never tell you which of these special interest shows to watch. That being said, for all other prime time television, people rely on a third party to filter the good from the bad. We all need guidance and depend primarily on word of mouth to decide what to tune in to. We will attempt to facilitate this difficult task by offering our educated opinions on what rocks and what flops.

Pick of the week
Arrested Development
- Sadly, the show with the worst ratings to ever win an Emmy for best comedic series. What's the problem - why isn't anybody watching this show? Offering very clever writing, good story lines, amazing characters and great acting. Shot on high definition (HD) digital format, it is a great looking show, it has no laugh track - which is a welcome change from comedies these days, and the narration by Ron Howard is fantastic. If you haven't seen it, watch it! The first season is available on DVD. Season 2 just ended, but look for season 3 to begin in the fall.
