This way, you can update your home for less. When you’re searching for additions to create a comfortable, snug, homely vibe, opt for heavier fabrics like wool and faux fur and scatter cushions and blankets on chairs, sofas, and beds.  Lighting During the fall and winter months, the light starts to fade earlier in the day, and by evening, it can be pitch black. Lighting plays an essential role in illuminating our homes, but it can also be integral to adding ambiance. Soft lighting is ideal for relaxing nights in. Add a dimmer switch or use lamps or LED candles to turn your living room or bedroom into a tranquil, inviting haven. If you’re looking for outdoor lights, strings of oversized bulbs, low-level lanterns, and fairy lights are an excellent addition to patios. Scatter floor cushions and blankets to keep warm after dark.  Seasonal changes often provoke a desire to make changes to our homes. When it’s cool outside, and the light fades earlier in the day, it’s tempting to retreat to the living room or snug and get cozy. Swap light materials for indulgent fabrics, use soft furnishings to make rooms more inviting and alluring and inject some autumnal colors and tones.
