Summer Beach Hacks That All Moms Need To Know

Beach Hacks That All Moms Need To Know When you’re a mom of little ones, then a quick trip to the Beach can be anything but quick, and far from relaxing. Gone are the days of me being able to sit and read a book as I sunbathe. But beach trips with kids can be lots of fun, so don’t let that put you off from going completely. As good old Dr. Suess says, it is fun to have fun, you’ve got to know how! And a trip to the beach is one of those things that can be made much simpler and easier if you are prepared and have a little know-how. We don’t need to add any more stress to our lives, right? So here are some winning beach hacks that all moms need to know for going to the beach. Invest in a Tent There aren’t too many beaches that have much shade. And unless you’re away on a family vacation, then there are unlikely to be beach loungers and sun parasols. So instead, I can wholeheartedly recommend getting a beach tent or gazebo to provide some much needed shade. You can hide the babies under it, and not stress if little ones are pulling their hats off. Take Baby Powder I was a couple of years into being a mom before I knew about this amazing hack. If you want to make getting sand of little hands and feet much simpler, without having to dunk them in the sea, then it is a great idea to take baby powder with you. Sprinkle it over and then simply rub off; amazing! Sunscreen This one is a little bit of a no-brainer. But with children you need to make sure that you pick a sunscreen for sensitive skin, as well as one that has a high UV rating. The SPF factor is different to the UV rating, so make sure that you are choosing one that has high coverage on both areas for extra protection. Pack Separate Snacks I don’t know about you, but there is nothing worse than when a sandy hand gets into the bag of chips, and then it has been soiled for everyone else. So a quick and easy way to avoid it, as well as making sure that everyone gets a fair share of something to eat, is to pack individual snacks. Make a sack lunch for each child and then they can do with it as they please; arguments solved. Freeze Water Bottles We all get thirsty out on the beach all day. So having something cold to drink is a dream. S freeze up some plastic water bottles the night before, and they will slowly melt while you are out, leaving you with cold water to drink. They also double up as ice packs for food, so it is a simple win that works well. There are plenty of other hacks that you can use, like using a ziplock bag for things like your phone. No one wants that to get dropped in the sand! Have you got any that you have tried?
