So most of you lovely readers know who I am, but for those who are just starting reading my blog hello and welcome. I’m Kali Smith and I’m the mind behind this blog. I have a lot of chronic Illnesses and I identify as a ‘Spoonie’. For those of you who don’t know what a Spoonie is, I’m going to ask you to please Google the Spoon Theory or click on the link below.

But as I said I have a lot of Chronic Illnesses, some might not find it as a lot of illnesses and others might wonder how I function everyday. My current diagnoses are: Meniere’s Disease, IBS-C, Chronic Migraines, a Heart Murmur, EDS-3, Fibromyalgia and POTS.

Living with this many diseases really is a Challenge and taking my medications can be a chore. Some of them require that I eat first; others require that I take them on an empty stomach. It requires a lot of planning and learning how to cope with it all. And I also will be making a spread sheet, and working with the pharmacist to see if I can pick up the bulk of my medications. So hopefully this means I’ll be going to the pharmacy less often.

I started this blog so hopefully I can teach others who aren’t chronically ill what life is like. I like to teach and help others, and I want to help my fellow Spoonies. Some doctor appointments that I have, I can’t find any information about them. Such as going to a geneticist, it’s kind of an odd appointment, so I like to share my experiences. I don’t want others to wind up confused and feel alone in their journeys with their illnesses. And I write down all the websites I’m on, and my email so others can email me or message me with questions that they have.
