In part 1 of this series on how to Avoid Toxic Women, we covered the 49 red flags to watch for. In part 2 we covered the key screening tactic to tell if you can trust a girl. And now in part 3, we cover the two Femme Fatale Archetypes to watch out for: the eternal ingenue and the waif.

The archetypes are taken from the now defunct blog Alias Clio, as well as through Heartiste’s take on the same archetypes in his 3 part series: How To Handle Femme Fatales. Alias Clio and Heartiste cover other archetypes including the golddigger and the alpha female. But I won’t be covering those types because you’ll be able to easily spot them through the 49 red flags outlined in part 1, as well as my girlfriend screening criteria.

Instead the archetypes here are ones you might not see coming, even with the red flag checklist and the right screening criteria. I also draw on my experience with both types of girls, both of whom I cared deeply for, including the drama and disastrous ending to each case.

How To Avoid Toxic Women Part 3: Femme Fatale Archetypes (And My Experience With Them)

1) The Eternal ingenue

• The eternal, charming child, think Audrey Hepburn Breakfast At Tiffany’s
• Seems sweet, innocent, childish, charming as all hell and like she needs someone to take care of her,but knows what she’s doing
• Will draw you in, but are toxic in relationships because they are in love with love
• They’re always chasing love, no matter who gives it to them, they are drug addicts addicted to the thrill of love
• The dedication and stability you need in a relationship, after the first year of passionate love, will never be there
• The result is that they’re eternal serial monogamists
• They’re not promiscuous per say, because when they love all they think about is that guy, so you might not see them coming
• They won’t be flirting on Facebook, or texting guys or attention whoring, so its easy to get sucked in
• She’ll tell you you’re her world, and she can’t live without you, and she’ll mean it
• But her feelings are a rollercoaster and unreliable, not somthing you can base your life around
• She might even have great relationships with friends, family and coworkers, with everyone loving her
• But to you, in a relationships, she will be toxic, because she’s a drug addicts, and addicts burn everything they touch
• She’ll always be chasing that high, and you’ll never know who you’re going to get from one day to the next
• She will be completely unnacountable and unreliable and use her feeeeeeeelings as justification

• You’ll see what living with her was like, and how it ended, and it’s not pretty
• You’ll see why it’s wise to avoid these women like the plague

2) The Waif (The Broken Wing)

• The waif is sweet, innocent-looking, vulnerable and you can tell she had a hard life and you want to take care of her
• However, unlike the eternal ingenue, she has low self esteem and doesn’t have the confidence to light up the room
• They seem fragile, delicated and that they need you to take care of them, this in turn makes you feel strong and needed
• It gives you a sense of purpose to be able to provide for and protect her
• I’ve never had strong feelings for masculine women, or for saving girls, except for this type
• In the past I’ve gravitated to this kind of girl because her vulnerability made me want to save/take care of her
• Unfortunately, she uses her problems, and her vulnerability to manipulate you
• She doesn’t have good coping skills and doesn’t know how to bring you closer in a positive way
• Expect crying calls at 3 Am in the morning to solve her problems
• And expect to be really hard to say no when you see her sad little face
• You might not see this one coming because you’ll fall deep for her
• And she won’t trigger you by being promiscuous or getting angry or aggressive
• And it’s not that she’s not suffering, she truly is, except she knows no other way to get what she wants then guilt-manipulation
• And you won’t be able to make her consistenly happy no matter how hard you try
