United Kingdom-Day 14-Hyde Park

Day fourteen of our trip was the last full day of our two weeks in the United Kingdom. Naturally, we were sad, but we wanted to make the most of our day and at long last the sun was out!

After making breakfast and showering we headed out.

We took the tube to the far end of Hyde Park. \\

As I mentioned in my blog on day 13, I have wanted to ride a bicycle in another country for years, but it was never possible because prior to this year my husband didn’t know how to ride. Well, after the station that wouldn’t let us rent a bike the day before we decided to give it another go and ride bikes in Hyde Park. When both bicycles released form the bike share station I was so excited. After putting up with so much bad weather we finally had a nice day and I was going to get to ride bikes in London with my husband! Our bike ride was relatively short, but we had a great time. It really was a dream come true.

After our bike ride, we walked our way through Hyde Park. I was so nice to be able to spend a couple of hours in a park and just take our time.

In addition to renting bike we took advantage of the great weather by renting a paddle boat and going out on the water.

We really loved our time in Hyde Park.

As much as we loved the park, we did also want to check out one more Museum while we were in London. Our last stop before our museum time was the Prince Albert Memorial which was very impressive.

Our museum time was going to be spent at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

We decided to focus on the part of the museum that didn’t deal with Europe. I really enjoyed getting to see some beautiful art from Persia.

Not to mention some amazing pieces from China.

As well as some cool stuff from Japan.

With each passing minute inside the Victoria and Albert Museum we were sad because we knew the end of our vacation few closer and closer. We did see a little bit of European art on our way out the door.

When we left the Museum, we were both very, very sad. All that was left to do was go back to our room pack and have one last dinner. Our last dinner was at our favorite restaurant under our hotel.

After our dinner we took a little walk around the neighborhood.

We had enjoyed our holiday but the next day it was going to be time to fly back to Los Angeles.

Justin Gomez and his sister, Terri, have never been close. Separated by nine years and distant in adulthood, Justin and Terri have little in common, except for the love of her three children. In the days before they embark on a road trip to visit the father that once abandoned them and their now deceased mother, both Terri and Justin are dealing with unexpected changes in their lives. Justin surprisingly realizes he might want more than a series of one night stands after a first date goes unexpectedly well. After a lifetime of being a strong type A personality, Terri is forced to confront the reality of the end of her marriage. As they hit the road, with Terri’s children in tow, they find themselves forced to rely on and confide in each other following a devastating event. Confronted with memories from the past and challenges from the present, Terri and Justin must dig deep and unearth the truth about themselves and their parents in order to build a new family based on their love for each other.
