The Library Elf

This is such a fantastic service, you will not believe it.  It's like having your own personal assistant, just to remind you when your library books are due, to avoid the late charges... and ITS FREE!!!

We never want to be Jerry from the Seinfeld episode where he finds out that he is being fined for an unreturned library book from 1971, the Tropic of Cancer.

If you have a library card, then you might know about late fees at the library.  In this era where everything is green, reusable, and recyclable, borrowing books from the local library is a perfect idea.  The problem is that the books and movies come into the house.... and then... they disappear.  Try as I might, I constantly lose track of what book is due when, if a movie is overdue or if a book I have put on hold is ready for pick up.

The Library Elf is wonderful for families and anyone who takes books out of the library.  The Library Elf is a free service that you can sign up with, and the Library Elf will send you an email reminder BEFORE the books or movies are actually due back.  Now you can return everything on time. You can receive email alerts about loans, holds and overdue charges.

The Library Elf is a free private service that is not affiliated with the library itself.

Just go to http://www.libraryelf.com/ and click on the sign up button, then find your library system.  Just remember when you get to the field where it asks for a PIN, leave it blank.
