12 Beauty Products To Keep in Your Car

Over the holidays I got a new car. My lease was up and I was upset I had to give Aspen back (yes, I name all my cars). But I couldn’t be happier with my new car! I named him Karl. The white shiny exterior and black leather interior reminded me of Karl Lagerfeld.

The minute I brought Karl home, I brought down a bag of Beauty products I used to keep in Aspen. Some of the products I use daily, so I keep them in the arm rest. The others, I keep in the glove compartment. 12 beauty products may seem like a lot to keep in a car. But living in Los Angeles, you’re constantly in your car. And I use each and every one. So I thought it would be fun to share in today’s beauty post.

12 Beauty Items I Keep in My Car

#1 Hand Sanitizer

I’m always reaching for my hand sanitizer. My go-to is EO hand sanitizer. It doesn’t have the alcohol smell that so many hand sanitizers usually have. My favorite scent they have is lavender. It’s so relaxing!

#2 Hand Cream

Los Angeles is really dry so I like to keep a hand cream in my car. Recently I’ve been using Oribe Côte D’Azur hand cream. It’s super moisturizing and has a deliciously intoxicating scent.

#3 Lip Balm

I’m constantly applying lip balm throughout the day. I like having one with SPF in my car to protect my lips. One of my favorites is Kiehl’s Lip Treatment. It has SPF 25 and the tinted versions double as a lipstick!

#4 Powder Sunscreen

I heard that it’s bad to keep sunscreen in the car because the heat can change the ingredients of the lotion. So I’ve been keeping powder SPF in my car instead. I’ve been using Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45.  The applicator makes it so easy to apply when you’re on the go!

#5 Mascara

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve left the house fully made up without remembering to apply mascara. It’s one of the last steps in my makeup routine and I seem to forget it way too often. That’s why I keep an extra one in my car. Right now I have L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara, which I’ve used since I started even wearing makeup!

#6 Hair Ties & Hair Clips

When I’m driving longer distances (like my monthly trips to San Diego), I usually like to put my Hair up. Sometimes I’ll reach for my mini hair clips, which I’ve been using for years. And others I’ll do a ponytail with Goody Ouchless Hair Ties. They never stretch out!

#7 Hair Brush

When the windows are down, the hair gets messed up. So I like to have a hair brush on hand. I love mini ones since they’re easy to store.

#8 Mints

Mints majorly come in handy after driving from a lunch to a meeting! Recently I’ve been chewing on Listerine! Ready Tabs. It literally feels like you’ve just brushed your teeth.

#9 Deodorant

Having deodorant in my car has come in hand quite a few times. As I’m sure you know from reading my blog, I’ve always used Dove dry spray. So I was thrilled when they came out with a mini version!

#10 Nail File

You never know when your nail is going to break! I buy nail files in multiples at CVS.

#11 Face Wipes

I love having face wipes on hand to use after a workout or a beach day. At home, I have a few different brands I love that I rotate between. But for the car, my all time favorites are Arcona Triad Pads 2 Go. Since they’re single us, you don’t have to worry about the pads drying out in the pack. Plus, the cranberry toner smells delicious!

#12 Perfume Roller

I used to keep perfume samples in my car so I could have a quick spritz on the go. That is, until I learned about perfume rollers. They’re a portable way to apply your fragrance throughout the day. One of my favorites is Jemma Sands Venice roller, which has a light sandalwood scent.
