A Red Suit for Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year! This year is the Year of the Dog, so I decided to get decked out in red and take Bunny on a walk in her red leash. I originally planned on wearing this outfit at fashion week with a turtleneck and tights. The silver lining of my trip getting canceled was getting to debut the suede suit with bare legs and booties. I added a striped tee for a spring update…. the Chinese New Year is the Spring Festival, after all.

Since I love traditions, I read up a little about the Chinese New Year last night. My favorite superstition is that you should avoid sweeping or cleaning today, so good fortune doesn’t get swept away. I also learned that wine is just as important as tea in China. And during the Spring Festival, people drink more wine that tea. Tonight I’m going to celebrating the end of me being sick and the beginning of the Chinese New Year by toasting my friends at Happy Hour. I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!
