All Hallows' Eve

"Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. Eye of newt and toe of frog. Wool of bat and tongue of dog. By the pricking of my thumbs something wicked this way comes." -William Shakespeare

Happy Halloween! The best time of the year, where you can be whoever you want to be: a princess, a banana, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Pennywise, anything! But, the real reason I love Halloween so much is because of its history.

Halloween is actually called All Hallow's Eve, which was believed to be the day where the wall between the living and the dead became weak. This was a day where spirits where believed to cross over to our side. Celtic tradition included dressing up in costumes to ward off ghosts and other evil things that lurked their streets...

But anyways, Halloween is not only about costumes or warding off ghosts... It's also about CANDY! So, no matter how old you are, throw on a costume and go trick-or-treating because Halloween only comes once a year. Just remember, even though there is no solid evidence supporting Celtic tradition, there's also no solid evidence denouncing it, so make sure you wear a costume, we wouldn't want anything following you home.
