I HEART ME!
Hello everyone! Today I am not writing any story or any fiction but just some real talk about being a Writer.
It's already difficult to juggle between studies and writing. Apart from these stuffs we usually have to answer questions that are just purely useless. I will bring few such questions to your notice and would answer them too.
Q1. Do you want to be the next Chetan Bhagat?( THE MOST COMMON QUESTION)
Q2. Why do you waste your time writing? (With a piece of advice) Study instead of wasting time maybe you can score good marks .
Q3. Why are you doing engineering?
These are few of them. First of all every engineer that turns into writer doesn't want to become CHETAN BHAGAT. I just want to be ME and I don't want to be compared or related to any other writer for that matter.
Secondly, why do you consider marks the most important thing that defines you. I don't think so that scoring is the only work left in the world. I don't want to be defined by my marks but by my capabilities and by my work. Nobody will remember you because you topped in your class in a test but surely you can be remembered for the work you do. Then comes the question that why I am into engineering? So why I can't be an engineer and a writer too? I want to be an engineer as much as I want to be a writer. why I can't love two things at a time? I know many of you out there who are pursuing some or the other degree might have dreams apart from what you are learning. Maybe some of you wants to be dancer or actor or singer or painter or something that just you love to do. But societal norms and race of scoring good marks and to get a degree that calls you educated kills all your dreams. I don't want to run in the race of getting marks. I am happy to do engineering and following my Dream of being a writer too. I don't need people to judge me on being an engineer and a writer both.
Do what your heart says and run behind your dreams they won't come true by themselves.
