May in Review
I can’t believe that we are already coming up to the half way point in the year with June soon approaching! Time has been going by so quickly this past month, but there’s been Lots of great things happening.
I’ve spent a lot of time to myself taking a few steps back and re-discovering my city as a tourist, not just a local. Really focusing on getting back into my passions of taking photographs just because, not just as another piece for my blog. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in blogging as a task, that sometimes you forget how to appreciate the things you enjoyed about it in the first place. I’ve been posting lots of my adventures over on Instagram if you’re not already following!
Places Travelled
I shared stories on our latest travels in and around Edinburgh. From sunny days on the seaside at Portobello, to Visiting Cramond Island with friends, and taking time out to visit East Lothian. Walking along the beaches watching the waves roll in, it’s been lovely to get away from the bustle of every day life for a while.
I also headed home for a weekend to visit as it was my grandmas 90th birthday. As someone who still lives independently, she’s forever inspiring and full of optimism. So it came as no surprise when we had a busy day of walking around the marina, going for lots of tea and coffees, went shopping, and even sat down to afternoon tea. A perfect kind of weekend don’t you think?
Up & Coming
As usual, I’ve already got lots of things planned coming up over this next month. I’m going to be attending my first hen do for a friend getting married this summer. We have family coming to visit for a long weekend, where we are hoping to show them around all the sights Edinburgh has to offer. We are also heading to the Edinburgh Zoo Nights, which is a summer event with live entertainment and street food vans to the theme this year of carnival. Everything from silent discos and a chance to see the animals after hours, to educational zone and talks with the keepers.
