Out with the old, in with the new: “Silver Lake shaman” politely edges out “Brooklyn lumberjack” and is named the newest style to sweep L.A.’s hipster hub of trendsetters.

Dubbed by Forbes as the hipsterest of all of “America’s hippest hipster neighborhoods,” Silver Lake is well-known for its farmers markets, art scene, indie bands, coffee shops, and the trendy town’s sweet spot for hipster fashion. A recent report from Quartz has predicted a major shift in exactly what the latter will entail, and it’s no longer the “Brooklyn lumberjack” we’ve come to know and (sort of) love. Okay, more like tolerate. Instead, and welcomingly so, hipster fashion is summoning its inner minimalist hippie in something aptly coined “Silver Lake shaman.” Described as having an earthen palette and a less-is-more attitude, be on the lookout for clean-lined clothes with a ’70s vibe. They’ll likely be paired with tousled hair, crystal jewelry, a fresh face, and a lifestyle that gets back to nature.

1. Creamy Maxi Dress

This creamy dream of a dress is perfect for bringing out your inner flower child. Excellent for spring and summer shindigs, festivals, and fancier occasions, you’ll find an excuse to wear this dress again and again. The crochet top is a definite nod to the ’70s, while the simple silhouette and column skirt appeals to your minimalist side. Pair it with lace-up gladiators, an armful of bangles, and an oversized hat for the perfect day look. Priced at $78.

2. Olive Drawstring Romper

Sheer, gauzy and totally unique, this drawstring romper would be a great addition to your Silver Lake shaman collection of hipster duds. Leave it loose and let the girls breathe, layer it up and create new looks, or belt the waist for a completely different take. Either way, you’re sure to stand out among the crowd in this green getup, something you may need to do once this trend catches fire. Pair it with flats and minimal jewelry to complete the look. Priced at $68.

3. Floral Maxi Shorts

Maxi shorts are like the LBD of “Silver Lake shaman” style. Super trendy, eye-catching, and channeling that hippie-hipster vibe, these maxi shorts are too cool to pass up. Hop on the minimalist bandwagon by paring down the accessories and wearing these with a simple crop top or halter and a single piece of statement jewelry. Lace-up flats would work well for a casual look, but you can always dress these up with a strappy heel and pretty blouse. Priced at $48.

4. Blue Skies Kimono

The perfect summer layering piece, you’ll be able to wear this kimono all season long. Throw it on over your bikini, pair it with your favorite jumpsuit, or couple it with a plain white t-shirt. This beautiful, all-cotton piece has been designed in L.A. and hand loomed in Turkey for superb quality and aesthetic. We just love the natural ease of this stunning cape. Priced at $68.

5. Rose Quartz Cardigan

Slouchy and oversized, this laid-back cardigan is a beautiful shade of blush and features unfinished edges, drawstring details, and ruching. The versatile design of this piece will pair well with all of your summer favorites and already offers the lived-in look desired by the hippie-loving hipster. Shorts, rompers, skirts, and jeans would all look great with this cardigan, just don’t forget your crystal pendant so you can simultaneously enhance your inner chakra and up your accessorizing game. Priced at $128.
