Key benchmarks snapped three sessions of gains to end Lower on Tuesday, amid weakness in global equity markets and after the outcome of the RBI meet failed to impress investors.  

The NSE Nifty50 ended 1 percent lower at 10,656.20, while the BSE Sensex closed down 0.84 percent at 35,474.51. Yes Bank and Hindalco Industries were the biggest losers on the NSE index, with shares falling 6.1 percent and 5.91 percent lower, respectively. 

Gail India, Adani Ports and IndusInd bank were among major gainers in trade. 

IT stocks Wipro and Tech Mahindra closed 3.29 and 2.86 percent lower respectively, hurt by strengthening of the rupee against the dollar. Share prices of HEG Ltd rose 2.22% to Rs 4,345 per share after the company said that it will consider a proposal of share buyback on 26 November.
