Benchmark indices Closed flat with a negative bias as investors awaited the outcome of Federal Reserve's two-day meeting tonight. Caution also maintained ahead of GST Council meet on Thursday. 

The Sensex closed down 44.52 points at 29,398.11 and the Nifty felled 2.20 points to 9,084.80.Over all 1408 shares advanced while 1409 shares declined on the BSE. The Rupee closed higher by 13 paise at 65.69 per Dollar. 

However, the broader markets outperformed benchmarks smartly despite balanced Market breadth. The Sensex Mid-cap gained 143 points at 13700 and Small-cap indices hiked 91 points at 13858. In Commodity market, Gold slipped 100 points to 27,976 and Silver declined 139 points to 39,944.

Top Losers: TCS, Infosys, HUL, Wipro, HCL Tech.
