A total of 31 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.55% at 14724, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.68% at 15516. Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas, Energy, IT and Realty are showing weakness on BSE. ITC, Hindalco, Bharti Infratel, Bank of Baroda, Eicher Motors are among the gainers, whereas NTPC, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Indiabulls Housing Finance are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.

Tata Chemicals / GHCL – Anti-dumping duty will continue till July 2, 2018 on Soda Ash. Anti-dumping duty was imposed on soda ash in 2012.

RCF / FACT / NFL / Chambal Fertilizer – The government has given some relief to the farmers. At the GST Council meeting on the evening of June 30, it has been decided to increase the GST rates on fertilizers to 5 per cent instead of 12 per cent. At the same time, the tractor components will be 18 percent GST instead of 28 percent.Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says that this decision has been taken to give relief to the farmers.

NHPC / SJVN – Hydro-power policy can be approved from the cabinet. The benefit of Rs. 16,709 crore is possible for 40 projects stranded in the policy. Power Ministry has sent a policy to the Finance Ministry.
