It just ocurred to me, of course Microsoft welcome suggestions from employees- the contract of employment will surely make any ideas suggested (at least those relating to the internet or computing) the property of Microsoft. Not unreasonable, every employer hopes that their employees will contribute ideas to develop and grow the business.

Presumably there is some sort of system within Microsoft for rewarding employees who have great ideas. If there isn't, then their suggestion that I become an employee in order to submit my idea is very cheeky.
